The Prayer Group meets every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. in the Parlor at Saint Paul. All are welcome to join the group for fellowship, prayer and meditation.

The renovation of the stained glass windows and millwork has been completed. This will preserve and protect the stained glass for years to come. If you would like to make a donation to this project, please note "Stained Glass" on your donation.

United Ministries needs:  The Learning Center needs a working computer for lab, pencils and reading glasses. The Emergency Assistance needs non-perishable food, peanut butter and canned meats. The Place of Hope needs an iron, travel-size soap, spray deodorant, rubbing alcohol, razors, men's and women's new underwear, socks and knit hats.

When  you eat at Caesar's Restaurant anytime or Brew & Ewe on Sundays, a portion of your bill will be donated to Unite Ministries- just tell them when you pay your bill.

Lay Leadership Committe will meet Wednesday, September 1 at 7:00 p.m. in the Parlor.

Communion will be observed on Sunday, September 5.

Annual Work Day Offering for Epworth Children's Home will be will be collected on Sunday, September 12.

Race for the Cure Breakfast wiFlll be held Sunday, September 12 during the sunday School hour. Sponsored by the Young Adults the proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure.

Adult Luncheons will resume on Tuesday, September 28 at noon the program will be a garden theme. Travel with us to Bishopville, SC via DVD to the topiary garden of Pearl Fryar. The September issue of Southern Living has an article about the Topiary Garden. Asign-up sheet is in the Narthex.

Southern Gospel Sing will be held Saturday, September 18, 6-9 p.m. at the Scottish Rite Temple, 817 Cleveland Street. Advance tickets are $10 ($12 at the door). Dinner is available for $5 which will include two chili dogs, chips and a drink. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the john I. Smith children's Care center. See Ed Pool for tickets.

Fall Lay Speaking School will be held at Covenant UMC on October 24, 31 and Novmeber 14; 2:00-5:30. Classes offered will be Basic, Let the Church Say Amen (Prayer), from Your Heart to Theirs (Preach) and Accountable Discipleship. The cost is $35.

United Ministries Walk 4 the Homeless (sponsored by WYFF-4) will be Sunday, October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Flour Field. Volunteers are needed for Route Monitors, water Station Volunteers, Water Runners, Registration and Donations, Info Volunteers and Strong Individuals. Contact Claire Winklet at 864-335-2618.

Charge Conference will be held on Sunday, October 24 following the Worship Service.
