Welcome to Saint Paul UMC in Greenville's historic West End. As pastor, I get excited about leading reverent and joyful worship of God and celebrating the sacraments Christ taught us. I like to get as many people as possible involved in worship leadership, including children and youth. I believe following Jesus means loving each other and being a community of care and forgiveness. As a church with this strong foundation, we are called to join God's mission in the world to feed the hungry, heal the sick, give liberty to the captive, and bring good news to the poor. I am passionate about serving our local community, statewide work in Salkehatchie Summer Service for youth, and international service in Haiti.

I received a Bachelor of the Arts in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia in 2001. I spent nine years in the US Navy as a helicopter pilot, separating as a Lieutenant with two deployments during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I received a Master of Arts in History from Tulane University in 2010. I received a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina in 2014. I was ordained a full Elder in the United Methodist Church on June 6, 2016.

My wife, Anna, is a dentist. She owns a practice in Greenville, Greenville Family Smiles. She is strong in prayer and passionate about God's church and god's people. She loves international mission work where she can combine her dental and Spanish skills to show the poor God's love.

My daughter Mary Grace is observant and passionate. She loves kung fu and princesses. She delights in church, being around people who love God and love her.

My son Jack is thoughtful of others and affectionate. He loves his sister and princesses. He is always looking to have fun and loves people

We all love music and dancing.

We can't wait to join your family. I want to join with you in showing our community how much God loves them.
