Missions at Saint Paul

----------------------------------------------------------------

To allow the hungry man to remain hungry would be blasphemy against God and one's neighbor, for what is nearest to God is precisely the need of one's neighbor. It is for the love of Christ, which belongs as much to the hungry man as to myself, that I share my bread with him and that I share my swelling with the homeless. If the hungry man does not attain to faith, then the fault falls on those who refused him bread. To provide the hungry man with bread is to prepare the way for the coming of grace.   --- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Ronald McDonald House Charities-For the family of a hospitalized child, it can be the most important house they will ever visit. The Ronald McDonald House Charities of The Carolinas in Greenville, South Carolina, helps families of seriously ill, hospitalized children cope with the stress and expense of daily living while trying to be close and emotionally strong for their child.

At Saint Paul we collect pull tabs from aluminum cans to take to the Ronald McDonald House of Greenville. They are able to recycle these and earn money for the needs of the house.

Trick or Treat for UNICEF- UNICEF—the United Nations Children's Fund—is working in 156 countries to provide health care, clean water, nutrition and education to children and their families.  And by Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF, you can be a hero and help other kids around the world!

At Saint Paul the children's department takes part in the Trick -or- Treat for UNICEF each Halloween.

Meals On Wheels-The mission of Meals on Wheels of Greenville, Inc. is to enhance the quality of life of homebound individuals by providing nutritious meals, personal contact and related services.

Several of our members at Saint Paul deliver meals for Meals on Wheels of Greenville and we have supported the program with monetary donations.
